DOM-TOM, ROM et COMThere are four "Départements d'outre-mer" or DOMs: Guadeloupe, Martinique, La Réunion and French Guyana. They are run in the same way as metropolitan "départements" and their inhabitants are French citizens. In administrative terms they are also "Régions", and in this regard are also referred to as "ROM" (Régions d'outre-mer").
