Tour de FranceThe Tour de France is an annual road race for professional cyclists. It takes about three weeks to complete and is divided into daily stages, or "étapes" of approximately 175km (110 miles) over terrain of varying levels of difficulty. The leading cyclist wears a yellow jersey, the "maillot jaune". The route varies; it is not usually confined to France but always ends in Paris. In addition, there are a number of time trials.
